About me
This is your host, Angel Ortega. I'm a human being from Spain, currently living at El Casar (Guadalajara). Since I was a kid I've tried many artistic disciplines, and made my best on composing music, drawing and writing.
I had some moderate success on the musical side (I'm the main responsible for the gothic-electronic-industrial band Ann Hell, which had somewhat of a fame in some circles in the nineties), some minor hits on illustrations (to be found on Artwork) and a catastrophic failure in the writing part (in the Libros y relatos section, mostly in spanish).
On a more prosaic facet of my life, I also develop computer software, which is my main way of living. I've written some pieces of Free / Open Source software that can be found here and packaged on most mainstream Linux distributions, as the award-wining Minimum Profit Text Editor, the Grutatxt text-to-HTML converter and some aging video games as Space Plumber. The software that runs this site, Gruta, has been made by me as well. These and many more can be found in Software.
I've written some documents on technical matters and translated others' that can be found in the Documents section. There are other, smaller bits of information in the Notes, Links and News topics than can also be deemed interesting for someone.
I'm currently working at HV Sistemas as a software architect, where we build Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for satellites, as subconstractors for the European Space Agency, the spanish army and others.
