A general purpose indexer
Penetrator is a tool for indexing big trees of text files, as your local HTML documentation or home directory. It's able to use DBM files or SQL databases and be used as a command line tool or a CGI. The files to be indexed can be selected by extension or using external file identifying programs as /usr/bin/file.
Penetrator is a Perl module (usable separately), and a command line utility / CGI.
