Today has been a busy day, and not just work-wise. Some random thoughts:

- FreeBSD jails and ZFS have saved a client once again. Because things happen, and when they do, it's good to be prepared.
- Mixing different PHP versions on a Debian or Ubuntu host is never easy, especially in the long run. It works, but sooner or later something will go wrong. Better to isolate them in containers, and when I do that, I prefer FreeBSD and jails.
- OpenBSD keeps evolving on its own terms. And that's reassuring.
- NetBSD quietly keeps going its own way, just as it has for many years. And so do my NetBSD servers. Maybe it's time to run some performance comparisons and write about them on my blog.

I'm still passionate about technology. The same technology that gets me out of bed every morning and makes me want to sit down at my computer.

And I hope I can keep doing this for many years to come.

Thank you, technology. The good kind. The kind that still inspires me and makes me smile.

The world is a much, much better place thanks to people like them. And we should be proud to have such wonderful human beings here, with us.

It’s not Tuesday yet, but it will be soon.
And I want to thank @grunfink for creating and maintaining snac. Tomorrow I’ll talk about FediMeteo at DevConf, and it would never have come to be if it weren’t for snac and for the help the author gave me in fixing some things to optimize its use.

I want to launch a hashtag where, every Tuesday, I'll post a message and it would be great if it became a habit for many.

In a world full of conflicts, selfishness, and egocentrism, it would be nice to focus on the good that others do, what makes our lives better thanks to the contribution of others.

My first #ThankYouTuesday to the friends of #BSDCafe - both within the community servers and beyond - who have undoubtedly contributed to making my life better, more stimulating, and richer. So, I extend this gratitude to all those who, here in the fediverse or elsewhere, are present and positive, giving me inspiration and motivation.
