Certainly, it looks like him, but there are two main features that makes me sure this is Don Quixote: he's wearing the magic helmet of Mambrino (which is really a barber's basin), and the book he's reading is titled "Amadis de Gaula", which was one of the chivalry books Quixote admires most.
