It's a tough decision. But if you've been working on this album for ten years, it may be worth to wait just a little bit more (yes, it's easy for me to say it, don't know any detail).

Can't you both agree on some part of the material to be published right now, and keep working on the rest for, say, a second album, or an extended one?
