Tuiter, un año y medio después, es un erial desprovisto de vida, un pueblo fantasma habitado por bots que hablan con bots, el cadaver en descomposición de lo que fue el ágora de internet, hoy desprovisto de significado y propósito.
Durante 3 días la empresa de ciberseguridad CHEQ monitorizó el tráfico de Tuiter. Tres cuartas partes eran bots, comparado con el 3% de otras redes. Uno de cada diez era un bot porno.
Let that sink in (pun not intended). Tres cuartas partes del tráfico generado en Tuiter son cuentas falsas, bots automatizados para viralizarse y, en buena parte, estafar a la gente. Bots que usan IA para generar imágenes, texto y contenido general, dándose likes y respondiéndose los unos a los otros. Tres de cada cuatro tuits, falsos.
Llevo en internet desde los albores de los tiempos, y nunca había visto nada similar ni en mis más distópicas pesadillas.
O sea que básicamente nos encontramos con un servicio que ya no sirve para nada y que consume recursos que se podrían dedicar a cosas más útiles.

Fútbol y deportes, no tengo ni idea.
Para películas y series en castellano, la que más me gusta es Balandro. Para ver en directo canales de todo el mundo (TV y radio) y parte del extranjero, tienes Magellan.
Hay un montón más, pero con esas dos tengo todo lo que necesito. Aunque Balandro la uso muy poco: prefiero KOD, que me da lo mismo en italiano y, así, practico.

The irony is that there is one and only one reason WordPress is where it is, and that is because, back in the Triassic Age of the web, the blogging software that everyone used back then, Movable Type, changed its license.
Movable Type was commercial software; there was a free personal version, and a relatively expensive pro version. This didn't get in their way for a long time, because the terms of who qualified for the free personal version were generous. But when they released version 3.0 in 2004, they tweaked who qualified for which license in such a way as to make it look like lots of high-traffic bloggers were suddenly going to have to pay for a pro license.
As you might imagine, the entire blog world lost its collective shit. Lots of influential bloggers decided that the solution was to find a truly open source alternative, and WordPress, which was relatively primitive but 100% GPL, had shipped its first version the year before. A stampede off Movable Type and onto WordPress began, giving WP the boost it needed to go from Yet Another Blog CMS to a real contender. And so began the long march that led to "43% down, 57% to go. WordPress."
I eventually migrated my own sites from MT to WP too, and let me tell you, that migration hurt like hell. Because MT was much better software in 2004 than WordPress was. I would argue that in some ways, MT in 2004 was better software than WordPress is TODAY. But when the big bloggers fled, it dealt MT a killing blow. The software spiraled into an endless attempt to keep existing pro customers satisfied, dragging it farther and farther away from what the ordinary user needed or wanted.
All of which is to say, fortune in this market is extremely fickle. You can do everything right for years, but you only have to do one big thing wrong to send all your users running. And once they start running, they don't come back.

Saturday Night Fever is a coming of age movie and I like dance.
The Puerto Ricans were really much better dancers. (like professional level) They deserved the award and he gave it to them!

I don't really care for him anymore. I did like him back in the 70's. I used to watch him in a sitcom called Welcome Back Kotter. I think the movie I liked him best in was Saturday Night Fever.

@designthinkingcomic In my experience, the Ex-Amazon employees in particular want to implement their half-baked designs in their new company regardless of the new company's business model or whether or not their solutions actually *work*. Amazon did it, so everybody should.
The Ex-Google employees are similar, except "business model" and "profitability" are completely foreign concepts to them. Hardware limitations? Network bandwidth? "Just throw more money at it."

I'm being a bit hyperbolic but flatpak is clearly trying to disrupt the decentralization of linux via distros by introducing flathub as a point of centralization and relegating distros to nothing more than a flatpak runtime and I sure hope it doesn't work.

No sólo en hosting y demás (que sería ver si la gente estaria dispuesta a suscripciones para cubrirlo) si no también de curro para quién tenga que montar la web y mantenerla, porque yo no sé hacerlo. Y ahí radica mi problema. Que la idea está y creo que podría funcionar, pero es ver cómo. Y claro, luego está en que depende la implicación de la gente para que tire.
@angel @Paroxia mi idea son dos ideas en realidad. Una va enfocada a artistas/artesanos y la otra al público objetivo a quien pueda interesar lo que hacemos. La idea es crear un espacio virtual a modo de portal. En ese espacio cada artista puede anunciarse. Una sección donde aparezca un perfil de lo que hace y enlaces a sus tiendas, contacto, RRSS.etc. la gente podría buscar por interés (ilustración, escultura, joyeria, etc). Esto serviría, por ejemplo, para compartir gastos de anuncios.
